I wrote the Voodoo Night for Anna as a Birthday/Halloween present in 2001and she really liked it so I had to actually learn it… I mean play it. It had such a weird folk structure to it…. so it became her favorite song and she started playing it on the piano, so that was it, so I thought I should write some songs to go with it and thus came together a concept the Voodoo Night a Halloween CD. The whole thing is a story about a guy who goes to the Circus and marvels at the freak show when he meets a gypsy girl who steals his soul the rest become a dream like landscape of characters where our hero finds some magic shoes and runs across time and space only to realize. …. It’s all a bad dream.
